Happy Easter!!!

Ruthann:
•rolled over 3 times yesterday. Totally not cool but none today
•still sleeps most of the time
•she smiled at Lydia and continues to only smile at her

Lydia:
•loves singing her ABCs. She always ends it with, "next time YOU WON'T sing with me."
•still loves her Minnies and loves dressing as Minnie!
•she loves to swing and would stay there forever if she could find someone to push her.
•she loves playing dollies.
•she always says, "Mommy what can I do to help?"
•she always sings five words behind everyone else

Isaac:
•totally in love with Ruthann and insists that everyone call her "Ruthie the BABY". I'm not sure he actually believes her name is Ruthann.
•he loves everything cars, trucks or motor vehicles, especially fire trucks.
•he always tells me he needs some loving when he's upset. So sweet.
•he loves to nurse his babies and gets really upset when he can't find his "milk things" (and he will probably hate me for that comment later!)
•he loves to sing lots of songs especially, "Disco was his nameo"

The many faces of Ruthann

Daddy took a few pictures of Ruthann the other day. We were going to take some naked ones too, but Ruthie didn't think that was as good of an idea so she took her own measures to end the photoshot. (A little pee and poo all over the sheet.) Here are our favorites!

Big Brother

Isaac is an amazing big brother. He loves Ruthann so much. He loves holding her, cuddling her, and getting anything that I might need. He is always asking how he can help the baby and inspiring Lydia to do the same.

 

The other day Isaac asked me if he could match Ruthie.  They don't really have any matching clothing but I told him they could fix thier hair the same.  He loved it.  That's why they both have mohawks on the above picture!  Ruthann was obviously thrilled.

 

This picture if of Isaac "babysitting" while Mommy went to check on the chickens.  They love when the get to "babysit."

A little chunk!!

Ruthann had her checkup yesterday. She's growing fast!! The doctor said that everything looks perfect and she's totally healthy!!

We love having Ruthann in our family. She is an awesome easy baby. She's a great sleeper and will go four hours between feelings at night, super nice! She loves to eat!!

Eleven Days

We've had our little Ruthann for eleven days now. She is wonderful. We just can't get enough of her. Isaac and Lydia love holding their baby sister and love showing her off. They insist that her name is "Ruthie the Baby." Not Ruthie, Ruthann or Ruth but Ruthie the Baby. We love it.

Ruthie is nursing like a champion! She loves to eat!! She's also a great sleeper. She will sleep for two 4-5 hour periods every night. Super nice for Mommy!

We took Ruthie for her newborn pictures today. We had planned to do them last Friday but our photographer was sick and she didn't want to expose Baby Ruth to any germs. We were grateful! Jeniffer (our photographer) has 3 little ones also. A boy Isaac's age, a girl Lydia's age and a 6 month old baby so they're perfect playmates for the kids. They had a great time playing while Ruthann modeled. I can't wait to see the final products!!
