One of the subjects we cover in my current class is Supplemental Restraint Systems (airbags). After going over the subject material and having some time to study we took a fieldtrip out to the parking lot and deployed a few airbags. It was a ton of fun and now I know how to do it safely so that I can show others. They are really dangerous and can really hurt you if you don't know what you're doing. It takes less than 3 volts of electricity to set one off. You sliding across yout car seat as you get into your car or rubbing your hand over your shirt creates about 10,000 volts of static electricity. If you handle one of these airbags improperly it may deploy and severly injure yourself. My advice to you, if I'm not there, don't try what you are about to see at home!

Rolly polly!
Rolly polly Lydia. Lydia finally rolled over from her front to her back. We found what her motivation is:TV!. She just loves the TV and will do anything to be able to get a good veiw, rolling over included. We'll try to upload a picture sometime this week! That is if we can get her to do it again!

New Week
Last week was a tough one here at the Powell house. We're glad to be moving onto a new one! Lydia is doing much much better! (I've decided that 104.8 is my new least favorite number. Never had a least favorite number before!) The doctor just called and said that the E. coli that caused her UTI is an antibiotic strain so she needs to be tested again 3-4 days after she quits the antibiotics because they might not work. If she still has the UTI we'll be doing another run of antibiotics.
Anyway church this week was awesome. Isaac sat through all of sacrament meeting and Lydia only needed to be taken out once. Usaually this means that they both need to be taken out because Isaac doesn't like to be left with other people (and Brandon is at work) so he follows me but he decided to stay with Sis. Wilkens. We were so glad not to have Isaac in the mother's lounge with us!
Here are some pictures of the kids in their church clothes this week:
