My Work

These are pictures that I took of the art gallery on campus. A couple of them are taken from up in the mesanene on the second floor looking down. I work in the Spori Art Gallery on campus. My main title is the lighting technicia, but I do a lot of other things. Our latest project that we've been working on since January is an invintory of all the art throughout the whole campus.

Orphan Annie & Daddy Warbucks

Saturday was our wards Halloween Activity. There was a chili and pie contest and also a costume contest. I made chili and Heather made a dessert. When we woke up Saturday morning we didn't know what we wanted to dress up as. Heather said she was going to be orphane Annie so I decided to be Daddy Warbucks. The end result was great. It took me an hour and a half to get just my head ready. We had no clippers so it was all done by a strait blade razor. What do you think? Heather likes the new look.

Beautiful Sunset

Two days ago we were going out at night and there was a beautiful sunset. The sky was on fire with so many colors. I decided to take a quick picture so I ran inside and got my camera and tripod and set it up. I think it's a great picture.

EARTHQUAKE

So there's contruction going on just outside our appartment. It's incredibly annoying for two reasons. One, it's loud. Two, whenever they're out there is feels like there is an earthquake cause the whole house starts shaking. Heather was sick yesturday and thought she was having hallucinations, but no, the house really was shaking and still is today.

Snow Again!?!?!?!

Late Saturday morning around 11 o'clock we hear pounding outside. We opend the blinds and looked out the door and saw that it was hailing! It was comming down pretty hard. In a matter of minutes the roads and cars were all covered. After about 5 minutes it stoped and turned to snow. Heather had to run out and make a snowball and throw it at me. She missed me but hit the railing and it exploded and I was wounded by the shrapnel. In return I locked her outside without a coat for a minute or so. After another 15 minutes or so it had stoped alltogether. It soon cleared up and was nice the rest of the day. It was a freak storm... but then again, this is Rexburg, Idaho. What else could you expect?

Dutch Oven And Pumpkins

Tonight we invited our neighboors over and cooked dinner in the dutch oven and carved pumpkins. We made a chicken soup of sorts with chicken, potatos, carrots, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cream cheese and grated chese on top. Since we provided the dinner our neighboors bought two pumpkins for us to carve. They carved one and we carved the other. Our neighboors carved a geko and heather carved the R.I.P. and I carved the pirate skull on the other side. We had fun getting to know our neighboors. The next day Heather and I went out an got two more pumpkins and carved one each.

Unexistant Corn Maze

On Friday we went to Idaho Falls to visit some friends and go to a corn maze. As it turned out the maze was no longer there. So we got dinner at Wendys and went back the their house and played games and talked. We all had fun despite the unexistant corn maze.

Ward Temple Night

After the canoe trip we came home and took a shower and get ready to go to the temple. We met our ward at the temple at 6:00 for dinner and then we attended the 7:00 session. It was a great end to a great day. I was able to take a few pictures before dinner and after the session.

Canoe Trip

On Saturday we went on an all day canoe trip down a portion of the Snake River. We put in at the South Fork and paddeled for about 10 miles to where we put out. Along the way we stoped at a waterfall and ate lunch and streached our legs. We found a couple small caves and explored them like any worthy collage student would. We made a few friends and enjoyed a day on the river. We left about 8:30 in the morning and got back at about 3:30 in the afternoon. It was a blast and we plan on doing it again.

Pantihose Pirates Continue!!!

We invited a family from our ward over tonight to decorate halloween sugar cookies. It was a blast. After, we took plates of cookies around to various families in the ward. We would nock on the door and run leaving the plate and a note that said, "you've been spooked" on thier step. Heather took pictures from afar as Josh and I did the doorbell ditching. We all had a lot of fun.

Backpacking

Heather went on a backpacking trip this week. It didn't go so well. She ended up having her first asthma attack ever. The doctors think it was allergy enduced since her allergies have been so out of wack lately. She's doing a lot better since they had her smoke the peace pipe and gave her a shot (In the butt!). She weazed all night though and it was quite comical to listen to her breath, but it made it hard for both of us to sleep. We'll try to add some pictures of the trip from before the asthma attack soon.
