Independance Day

We had a fantastic 4th of July. We spent a few hours at the beach crabbing in the morning. It was so much fun. We took a couple rakes, buckets, and a lot of children. We walked though the shallow waters of the low tide looking for red rock and dungeness crabs. Together with Sarah, Vic, Kylie, Harlow, Katy, Charlie, Olive, Benny, Mikey, and Grandma, oh and us, of course, we found 8 crabs. It would have been nice if we'd found more, but we don't think that we left early enough to start looking.

After we went crabbing and took showers, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Powell's house. There, we had dinner of steak and potatoes, it was delicious and filling.

At around 9:00 we went outside and took these pictures. The lighting was perfect. I love the way they turned out.

After pictures we lit off some fireworks! The kids loved it, Lydia especially.

Isaac was still feeling sick from his ear infection. He was one sick boy a few days earlier and still working on recovering.

We loved celebrating this great planet that we love. We are so thankful for all those who work to protect us and keep us safe.

A huge thank you to all military and law enforcement. Without you our country couldn't have the freedoms we enjoy.
