Leavenworth 2012

We arrived in Leavenworth, WA on Wednesday evening.  We unpacked and moved into our "new home" the lodge. On Thursday, we hung around the house for a few hours i the morning an then headed to the town farmer's market.  It was fun but the kids were super tired so we didn't stay long.  We bought tons of tomatoes, onions, peppers, and fruit.  Grandma Wood made tons of delicious homemade salsa.  Super Yummy!!
On Friday, we pumped up all our inter tubes and headed to the river.  We floated down the Wenatchee river for about two hours.  It was so fun we decided to do it again on Saturday.  We took the route a little more leisurely and stopped at the beach to play in the sand and throw rocks in the water.  Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures from these days because no one wanted to risk taking their cameras on the river!  (Do you blame them?)
Sunday, we headed to church in Leavenworth.  I enjoyed being able to attend relief society.  I normally teach primary so I don't attend very often.  For the rest of the day/evening we hung out at the lodge and just enjoyed family time.
On Monday we went to the Leavenworth evening swim.  They had a fun outdoor pool that we enjoyed playing together with the 24 family members.  On Tuesday we headed into Leavenworth again to walk around the town and play at the park.    Almost every evening we headed down to the train tracks to look for "squished monies" and to put more pennies on the tracks.  The kids thought this was awesome!  Uncle Vic drilled holes into a bunch of the money we found and Grandma Wood strung them all onto necklaces for the kids.  They all loved them!  On Wednesday we packed up all our belongings and headed home.  We had a great reunion and loved spending time with our family!!

What a super fun time together. What happened to Isaac's head? I bet it was fun to see the money that had been run over by the train. Does Isaac still love trains?

We don't really know what happened to his head. He came inside screaming and bleeding and couldn't tell us. None of the kids outside saw what happened.
