Isaac's Birthday

Thursday was Isaac’s second birthday. We had a great day. We started off by singing a nice happy birthday song to him in his crib. We made him a little happy birthday crown and put it on his head. Isaac didn’t seem to enjoy our serenade and ran to the back of his crib to hide.

We let Isaac play for a little while and then he helped Daddy make pancakes. They were super yummy. He made Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Isaac, Lydia and I loved them. Daddy didn’t seem as thrilled as we were. We put strawberries and a candle on top of Isaac’s. He didn’t understand that he was supposed to blow them out, so Daddy helped him a little bit. When we lit it for him a second time he knew just what to do and blew it out perfectly!!!

The kids took their morning bath and then played with Daddy until nap time. Isaac took a good nap so he was super happy when he got up. We went out to dinner at Red Robin. We chose Red Robin because they still sing happy birthday. Isaac loved it when the sang to him. He was so happy and he thanked them when they were done. The brought him out a little ice cream. He probably ate about one or two bites. The kid doesn’t really like ice cream that much!

We didn’t do any presents because we’re having a party for him on Saturday. That’s when we’re going to do his cake too!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!

I cannot believe your little girl will sit still enough for you to trust her inthat bumbo! And Isaac looks too little to be 2. He's a doll! Sorry about the ringworm thing, no fun!

Looks like he had a fun birthday. I love the idea of the crown and singing to him as you got him out of his crib. The pancakes sound great! Mom
