President's Day

We didn't have to work on President's Day so we took Olive and Benny to the park. We went on the swings, and they made us push them for hours. Then we went to Poulsbo's downtown water front and walked around. We had a lot of fun. We walked out on the docks and caught Jelly Fish for the kids to look at. They were actually ctenophores, specifically Sea Gooseberries, Heather studied them in school. They are spheres that have two tenecles that hang down. Olive thought that they were really cool and immediatly tried to put it into her mouth after we gave it to her. We had to tell her they weren't food. Benny on the other hand dropped his in the water as soon as he touched it. Olive was very sad about this because we couldn't reach them anymore. Olive said that we should jump in and get them, but that water is way too cold! Brandon decided it was time to go when Olive started leaning too close to the water for comfort. We then walked around the shops, where Heather bought Olive and Benny a frowny face cookie and a happy face cookie. They thought they were very exciting!
