Isaac’s First Steps

So on Tuesday (09/15/09) evening the missionaries stopped by to drop some stuff off at our house. We gave them a bunch of free soap from my new job; I get a lot of free soap now. We also showed them a couple of Brandon’s church CD’s to see if they wanted to borrow them. While we were listening to Saturday’s Warrior, Isaac stood up and started shaking his little fits and rockin’ out just standing there. It was so cute and I thought he might take a few steps but he fell over and didn’t stand up again until the missionaries left the house.
Later that evening Brandon and I were wrestling with Isaac on the floor and playing with his toys when he stood up without pulling him self up on anything, and took five or six tiny steps from Brandon to me. Brandon and I both looked at each other like ‘did that really just happen?’, and then we started clapping and gave Isaac a great big hug! After that we got him to walk back and forth between us two or three more times when Brandon decided to get the camera so that we could make a video. Isaac would not be our performing monkey in heels though and refused to walk for the rest of the night. Instead he pushed his box of diapers in circles around the kitchen area. Gotta love kids!
