A day at the park

We went to the park so that Willow could get some of her energy out. She absolutely loved it, but was panting almost as soon as we got there from her running in circles.

Brandon decided that Willow needed a drink. So he grabbed my water bottle and let her have a drink out of it! Gross!

Her she is again getting her slobber all over it! It'll have to be washed now.
And of course, it was a park in Idaho so there has to be some sort of giant gun for the kids to play on. And here is my big kid, Brandon happy as can be with his giant gun.
After walking around at the park we saw that there was a baseball game going on so we watched some boys, they were about tweleve play a game. Willow loved all the time she got to spend outside. I must say Brandon and I rather enjoyed it too!

'Aint nobody dope as me... I'm just so fresh 'n so clean!

Today, Dad and I worked on the truck. We changed the oil (it hadn't been don in over 5,000 miles), put on a new oil filter, lubed the joints, got a new air filter, and adjusted the idle and air/fuel ratio. The truck took a whole six qts of oil! I'm not that suprized givin the fact that it's a 460 cubic inch V8. After we finished all that work we gave it a good bath. It took us 2 hours to wash it. I swear, it hadn't been washed in over 10 years! I washed it while dad rinsed it. I had to ues an a-frame ladder to reach the top of the canopy. We decided it would be too much trouble to take it off. The only problem with that was getting between the canopy and the back of the cab. You can see how far we were able to get though in the picture below. Al in all... it lookes a whole lot better than it did. It is now back to a 2-tone paint job instead of a 3-tone (white, brown, and seaweedy moss green).

March Snow!!!

It has been forcasted to snow for the last couple of days. It snowed a little bit on wednesday night but only enough to frost the grass in the hills and it was gone within a couple of hours. It snowed more this morning though (not much more). I'm sure it won't stick around for long. Maybe a couple hours... unless we get dumped on again. It has already turned to a misty rain. Mom is upset as always when we get snow this late in the year. On the other hand, Heather is excited because she can now wear her new rain boots she bought. They are dark blue with pink trim. I think the one who is most excited though is Willow. She LOVES the snow!!!

My New Toy

Heather and I have been looking for a truck to buy for some time now. Well Heather hasn't really been looking... she told me I could look. I think this is a step in a grand scheme to get my mind of buying a motorcycle (sorry, it won't work honey). Dad has been helping me check out the ones I found online. Well, today I finally bought one. It is a 1978 Ford F250 Ranger. It has a massive automatic 460 cubic inch V8 engine (yes, automatic transmission... Mom already called me whimp). When you compare this one to dad's it looks like it is going to drive over his. But I'm sure his could out run mine in a long distance race. His probibally gets better gas milage than mine. I'm happy with it though. It will help us with what we needed it for... getting stuff back to Idaho, getting things out of storage, and a second vehicle... plus the price was right. Enjoy the pictures!

Easter Alone

Heather and I were alone for Easter this year. Mom and Dad were both away visiting other family. Heather's parents said we could come to their house for Easter dinner but we didn't because everyone over there was sick and throwing up. I guess it wouldn't have hurt any because we ended up getting sick a couple of days later anyway from prior exposure. Anyway, we wanted to take a picture of us in our church clothes we wore for Easter Sunday. For dinner Heather made ham and bean soup in the crock pot and we had strawberry shortcake for dessert. After everything, I would have to say it was an alright Easter. I love you Honey!

It a, uh... uh... uh..., an ALIEN!

A couple of weeks ago Heather and I went to the doctor to hear the heartbeat of the baby. The doctor couldn't find it and told us to come back and they will have an ultrasound. Yesterday was the lucky day. It is still to young to tell gender but it is definately an alien. Its head is half of its body and its arms and leds are only little nubbs now. I hope it will grow out of this stage. I don't want an alien for a kid. Right now it's a whole 2 inches long... I hope it gets longer too.

My special husband!

A few days ago, after we got home from taking Willow to Petsmart, Brandon told me he had a surprise for me. He wouldn't tell me what it was, and made me go out in the garage and watch Willow while she ate so he could get everything ready. When he finally let me back in, he put a blindfold over my eyes and lead me out to the car. There he drove around, sometimes in circles, so I couldn't figure out where we were. Sometimes I would guess right, and other times I was very far off. Then we parked and he got out of the car and made me wait til he came back. He helped me out of the car and helped me walk to where he wanted. After walking up stairs blindfolded, he uncovered my eyes, and we were at the gazebo in the water front park. He had sparkling cider and crackers and cheese set out for us. Isn't he cute!
