Last night (the 3rd) we went and watched the fireworks show over Rigby Lake. When the fireworks started with a big BANG Willow got really scared. She cowered over by me and then jumped up into my lap.
After a little while she got used to the bangs and crackles of the show and sat under the table. She still wasn't sure if she liked it though.
We went with a family from our ward, the Orems. They're the ones that were so nice to watch Willow while we went to Florida. We played games and enjoyed having a good time with them. After the fireworks we played games for almost two more hours while we waited for traffic to start moving. Some people sat in their cars for over two hours while the waited for the non-moving traffic to clear. We got lots of comments from people telling us how smart we were to not be sitting in the car but playing games and enjoying the warm evening. We're grateful that the Orem's asked us to play with them!

looks like fun. I am surprised you brought the dog with you...since dogs hate being around that loud noise. sounds like you had a great time playing games too.

All of the dogs we had didn't have problems with fireworks so I'm glad Willow is not too scared. Dad
That was a cleaver idea to play games while the traffic cleared out. I'm glad you have such good neighbors that you enjoy spending time with. I'm glad you could comfort Willow so she wasn't to upset.
